As a key member of the laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including: • Providing support for bioassay testing, and assisting technicians with whole effluent toxicity (WET) and sediment testing activities • Cleaning and maintaining glassware for lab operations • Preparing glassware and other materials for use in testing • Assisting with general lab maintenance and cleaning • Assisting with animal care and maintenance • Preparing and shipping sampling kits to clients • Frequently using microscope for analysis of embryo development • Using company vehicle for seawater collection and sample courier The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $19.00 hourly. The shift for this position is part-time (20-25 hours/week), with a flexible schedule (operating hours are Monday – Friday, between the hours of 8am - 5pm). This position eligible for the following benefits: paid sick leave (1 hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 40 hours annually) and 401(k). Part-time employees may be eligible for medical insurance after 6 months if working more than 30 hours/week on average during an initial 5-month measurement period.
