The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00 hourly. The shift for this position is part-time (30 hours/week), with a fixed schedule Monday through Friday, from 2:00pm - 8:00pm. This position will be eligible for the following benefits: paid sick leave (1 hour for every 40 hours worked, up to 40 hours annually) and 401(k) (with up to 3% employer match after eligibility criteria are met). Part-time employees may be eligible for medical insurance after 6 months if working more than 30 hours/week on average during an initial 5-month measurement period. IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a part-time Laboratory Support/Courier position at its facility in Decatur, AL. Ideal candidates will possess the following: • A high school diploma or GED (required); an associate degree in Biology or related field (preferred) • Proficiency with data entry and computer applications • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment • Strong attention to detail • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory • Ability to regularly lift up to 50lbs above waist level • Experience with route driving and customer service (preferred) • A valid US driver's license and clean driving record (including, at minimum, no accidents in the last 5 years) that meets/continues to meet motor vehicle risk standards, as verified through ongoing MVR monitoring Laboratory Support/Courier duties include: safely transporting samples from customers to the lab on a fixed schedule, general laboratory cleaning, prepping samples, and other duties as assigned. The schedule for this position is Friday - Sunday, from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
