IEH Welcomes Michael DeCesare

IEH Laboratories & Consulting Group proudly welcomes Michael DeCesare as Senior Director of Technical Services.

With over two decades of experience in the food industry, Mr. DeCesare specializes in Italian dry-cured meats, demonstrating a successful track record in product formulation and quality control. Prior to joining IEH, he held key positions at industry-leading organizations such as Daniele International and JBS Prepared Foods’ Principe business unit, where he managed various aspects of food safety, research and development, and regulatory compliance. His expertise extends to creating and implementing rigorous supplier approval programs and conducting over 200 audits across diverse food facilities nationwide. Mr. DeCesare also led the development of a comprehensive food safety and processing program at Rhode Island College, designing the curriculum, conducting classes, and overseeing students’ attainment of HACCP certification, as well as authoring and implementing an accredited HACCP certification course. His certifications include SQF PCQI and Lead Auditor, and he is recognized as a Registered Microbiologist in Food and Quality by the National Registry of Certified Microbiologists.
