Ideal candidates will possess the following: - A BS or BA in the biological sciences or related field (preferred) - Willingness to learn and operate machinery - Good attitude and willingness to work with others - Strong communication and organization skills - Strong attention to detail - Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory Production Technician duties include: manufacturing bio-reagents, testing kits, data entry, inventory control, quality control, and other duties as assigned. The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00 hourly. This is a full-time position, eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 6 paid holidays per year, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 401(k) (with up to 3% employer match after eligibility criteria are met). The schedule for this position is Monday – Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm. The laboratory operates weekends, so candidates must be willing to work occasional weekends. This position will work as part of the R&D team which perform a variety of projects in food science and food microbiology. Ideal candidates will possess the following skill and qualities: - A PhD degree in Food Microbiology, Food Science, or related field (required) - Passion for food microbiology and food science and willingness to do their best to help our clients on their requested projects - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Highly motivated and proactive with strong attention to detail - Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory The pay range for this position is $78,000 - $80,000 annually (DOE). IEH Laboratories, a leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for Logistics Support position at its facility in Seattle, WA. Ideal candidates will possess the following: - A high school diploma or GED (required) - Ability to learn and work with various equipment, tools, and SOPs - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Strong communication and team work skills - Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory - Ability to regularly lift 30lbs above waist level - Ability to occasionally lift 50lbs above waist level - A valid US driver's license and clean driving record (including, at minimum, no accidents in the last 5 years) that meets/continues to meet motor vehicle risk standards, as verified through ongoing MVR monitoring. Capable of driving a minivan occasionally The Logistics Support duties include (but are not limited to): media/sample preparation, sample sorting and log-in, specific sample testing steps (under supervision), inventory control, washing glassware, general laboratory cleaning, occasional courier duties, moving pallets using a pallet jack, moving operation related equipment in the lab and between different location, building maintenance and housekeeping tasks as needed, cleaning and sanitation tasks as needed, waste handling and disposal, and any other job related duties as assigned by the team supervisors. The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00 hourly.
