IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Temporary Laboratory Analyst – Night Shift position at its facility in Corpus Christi, TX.
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
– An associate degree in Biology or related field (required); a BS or BA in the biological sciences or related field (preferred)
– Proficiency with data entry and computer applications
– Strong attention to detail
– Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory
Laboratory Analyst duties include: analysis of food samples for pathogens via PCR and immunoassay, various microbe enumerations, data entry, laboratory reporting, quality control, media preparation, and other duties as required.
This is a full-time temporary position ending in October and is eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: paid sick leave (1 hour for every 30 hours worked) and 401(k). Seasonal employees may be eligible for medical insurance after 6 months if working more than 30 hours/week on average during an initial 5-month measurement period.
The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, from 10:00pm to 6:00am. The laboratory operates weekends, so candidates must be willing to work some weekends.
