IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Sample Receiving position at its facility in Greeley, CO.
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
• A high school diploma or GED (required); an associate degree in Biology or related field (preferred)
• Proficiency with data entry and computer applications
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory
• Ability to regularly lift up to 30lbs above waist level
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs above waist level
• A valid US driver’s license and clean driving record (including, at minimum, no accidents in the last 5 years) that meets/continues to meet motor vehicle risk standards, as verified through ongoing MVR monitoring
The duties for this position include: receiving samples, opening packages, logging samples into our LIMS (computer system). Other tasks will include prepping samples for outsourcing and completing paperwork for outsourcing, helping prepare samples (grinding/blending) for testing in the micro lab, washing glassware, filing, and data entry as tasked. This position will also serve as backup to our courier driver as well – this will require occasionally driving a company to pick up samples from Longmont to Colorado Springs.
The pay range for this position is $17.00 – $18.00 hourly. This is a full-time position and is eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 6 paid holidays per year, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 401(k) (with up to 3% employer match after eligibility criteria are met).
The schedule for this position is Tuesday-Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.
