IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Sample Receiver position at its facility in Modesto, CA.
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
• A high school diploma or GED (required); an associate degree in Biology or related field (preferred)
• Proficiency with data entry and computer applications
• Basic understanding of chemical and/or microbiological terms and concepts
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
• Familiarity with LIMS (Laboratory Inventory Management System)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory
• Ability to regularly lift up to 30lbs above waist level
Sample Receiver duties include: receiving samples, verifying sample information, assessing quality of samples, documentation of samples, data entry, and other duties as assigned.
The pay for this position starts at $18.33 hourly. This is a full-time position and is eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 6 paid holidays per year, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 401(k) (with up to 3% employer match after eligibility criteria are met).
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 10:00am to 6:30pm.
