IEH-JL Analytical Laboratories is now accepting applications for multiple Sample Prep Technician positions at its facility in Modesto, CA.
Ideal candidates should possess the following skills:
– A high school diploma or GED (required)
– Basic math skills
– Good attitude and willingness to work with others
– Good communication and organization skills
– Ability to follow written directions
– Ability to work in a fast-paced, dusty, noisy and labor intensive setting
– Ability to regularly lift 50lbs
Sample Prep Technician duties include: sample preparation of nut and/or hay samples (mixing, grinding and disposal), sample registration, transcribing results, data entry, inventory stocking, washing glassware, general laboratory cleaning, making methanol solvent, operating laboratory equipment and other tasks as assigned.
The pay rate for this position is $18.33 hourly. This is a full-time position eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, 401(k), health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 6 paid holidays per year.
Shifts are generally day shifts with overtime and Saturday work as needed.
