IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Part-Time Laboratory Technician position at its facility in Cashmere, WA.
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
• High school diploma or GED (required); associate degree in Biology or related field (preferred)
• Proficiency with data entry and computer applications
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory
Laboratory Technician duties include: media/sample preparation, sample sorting and log-in, performing specific sample testing steps (under supervision), transcribing results, data entry, inventory control, washing glassware, general laboratory cleaning, and other tasks as assigned.
The starting pay rate for this position is $18.00 hourly. This is a part-time position eligible for the following benefits: paid sick leave (1 hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 40 hours annually) and 401(k). Part-time employees may be eligible for medical insurance after 6 months if working more than 30 hours/week on average during an initial 5-month measurement period.
The schedule for this position is, Wed-Fri 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
