Part-Time Laboratory Support/Courier (Decatur, AL)

IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a part-time Laboratory Support/Courier position at its facility in Decatur, AL.

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

• A high school diploma or GED (required); an associate degree in Biology or related field (preferred)
• Proficiency with data entry and computer applications
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50lbs above waist level
• Experience with route driving and customer service (preferred)
• A valid US driver’s license and clean driving record (including, at minimum, no accidents in the last 5 years) that meets/continues to meet motor vehicle risk standards, as verified through ongoing MVR monitoring

Laboratory Support/Courier duties include: safely transporting samples from customers to the lab on a fixed schedule, general laboratory cleaning, prepping samples, and other duties as assigned.

The schedule for this position is Friday – Sunday, from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
