Laboratory Courier (Selma, TX)

IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Laboratory Courier position at its facility in Selma, TX.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• A high school diploma or GED (required); an associate degree in Biology or related field (preferred)
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
• Ability to regularly lift up to 30lbs above waist level
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs above waist level
• A detail-oriented approach, strong communication in handling all tasks, and sound judgment in day-to-day interactions
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory
• A valid US driver’s license and a driving record that meets/continues to meet motor vehicle risk standards, as verified through ongoing MVR monitoring

Laboratory Courier duties include safely transporting samples from customers to the lab on a fixed schedule and maintaining a good/reputable and friendly relationship with customers using company courier vehicle. Some light filing/office duties and some light lab responsibilities. This person would primarily be responsible for daily trash runs to our local dumpster which does include some heavier lifting.

This is a full-time position and is eligible for standard benefits after a brief waiting period. The schedule for this position is Tuesday through Saturday, from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
