Laboratory Analyst – Multiple Openings (Muskegon, MI)

IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for Laboratory Analyst – Day Shift at its facility in Muskegon, MI.

Ideal candidates will possess the following skills:
– A high school diploma or GED (required); a BS or BA in the biological sciences or related field (preferred)
– Proficiency with data entry and computer applications
– Strong attention to detail
– Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory
– A valid US driver’s license and clean driving record (including, at minimum, no accidents in the last 5 years) that meets/continues to meet motor vehicle risk standards, as verified through ongoing MVR monitoring

Laboratory Analyst duties include analysis of food samples for pathogens via PCR and immunoassay, various microbe enumerations, data entry, laboratory reporting, quality control, media preparation, and other duties as assigned.

Full-time employee will be eligible for standard benefits after a brief waiting period. Multiple shifts are available for this position including: (i) 12h hour rotating shift, from 10:00am – 10:00pm, and (ii) 8-hour Monday through Friday shift. Occasional weekend and holiday work may be required.
