IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Chemist position at its facility in Modesto, CA.
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
– A BS or BA in Chemistry or related field (required)
– Strong attention to detail
– Proficiency with data entry and computer applications
– Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory
Chemist duties may include: analytical testing via instrumentation, sample preparation, reagent preparation, analyzing samples via written SOPs, evaluating/interpreting data, troubleshooting problems, disposing of samples, cleaning/sanitizing the laboratory and equipment, performing daily QC, and other duties as assigned.
The pay rate for this position is $22.77 hourly. This is a full-time position and is eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 6 paid holidays per year, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 401(k) (with up to 3% employer match after eligibility criteria are met).
The schedule for this position is Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00am – 3:30pm.
