IEH welcomes Dr. Peter Evans .

IEH Laboratories & Consulting Group welcomes Dr. Peter Evans as Vice President of Technical Services.

Dr. Peter Evans brings over 20 years of experience in food safety through his work at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). His background includes microbiology, risk management, and the development of national food safety policies.

He has worked extensively on FSIS oversight mechanisms and HACCP systems for raw and Ready-to-Eat meat and poultry products. His technical expertise includes next generation sequencing, molecular typing, and quantitative microbiology approaches that enhance pathogen detection and assessment.

Dr. Evans has also collaborated with the Association of Official Analytical Collaboration (AOAC) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) on the development and validation of food safety methodologies used in regulatory and industry laboratories.

At IEH, Dr. Evans will provide guidance on food safety systems, regulatory compliance, and method validation to help clients strengthen their programs in accordance with U.S. and international standards.
