IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Part-Time Laboratory Support – Seasonal position at its facility in Salinas, CA.
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
• A high school diploma or GED (required); an associate degree in Biology or related field (preferred)
• Proficiency with data entry and computer applications
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to regularly lift 30lbs above waist level
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs above waist level
Laboratory Support duties include: media/sample, preparation, sample sorting and log-in, transcribing results, inventory control, washing glassware, general laboratory cleaning, possible courier duties and other duties as assigned.
The pay range for this position is $16.50 – $17.50 hourly. This is a part-time position eligible for the following benefits: paid sick leave (1 hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 40 hours annually) and 401(k). Part-time employees may be eligible for medical insurance after 6 months if working more than 30 hours/week on average during an initial 5-month measurement period.
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 9:00am – 5:30pm. The laboratory operates weekends, so candidates must be willing to work some weekends.
