Environmental Micro Analysis, Inc. (EMA), part of the IEH Laboratories and Consulting Group, is accepting applications for multiple Laboratory Technician positions at its facility in Woodland, CA.

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

– Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or currently enrolled in a college or university (science preferred, not required); a high school diploma or GED (required)
– Knowledge on pesticide residue testing (preferred)
– Familiarity with GC and HPLC instruments (preferred)
– Proficiency with data entry and computer applications
– Self-motivated and a strong attention to detail
– Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory

Laboratory Technician duties include: media/sample preparation, sample sorting and log-in, specified sample testing steps (under supervision), transcribing results, data entry, inventory control, washing glassware, general laboratory cleaning, and other tasks as assigned.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 – $30.00 hourly. Multiple positions are available for this position, including both Full-time (Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm) and Part-time shifts. The laboratory operates on weekends so candidates must be willing to work some weekends.

Full-time employees are eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, 401(k), health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 6 paid holidays per year.

Part-time employees are eligible for the following benefits: paid sick leave (1 hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 40 hours annually) and 401(k).
