Mycotoxin testing

IEH utilizes state-of-the-art instrumentation such as fluorometric, HPLC and LC/MSMS for the determination of mycotoxins in food, feed, grains and nutraceuticals. All methods follow US and international MRL (Maximum Residue Limits) regulations.

 

IEH can perform mycotoxin screens or single target tests for:

  • Aflatoxins (B1, B2, G1, G2, M1)

  • Fumonisins (B1, B2)

  • Fusarium Toxin (T2)

  • HT-2 Mycotoxin

  • Ochratoxin A

  • Patulin

  • Zearalenone

In addition to providing testing, IEH is a regular provider of samples for collaborative studies for the determination of aflatoxin levels to individual customers, government agencies, technical organizations, and international studies. In-stock peanut, almond and pistachio paste containing various levels of aflatoxin contamination is available. These samples are good QA checks for in-house testing. Custom levels can be produced upon request and other product matrices are also available.

  • USDA-accredited to complete VASP (Voluntary Aflatoxin Sampling Plan) developed by Almond Board of California

  • FOSFA Accreditation as Member Analysts for Selected Groundnuts

  • AOCS (American Oil Chemists Society) for aflatoxin and chemical analysis in peanuts
