Food Packaging & Contact Material Testing

Food contact materials may cause unpredictable safety risks to food and human health, and most countries have established strict regulations directives or criteria targeting food contact materials. IEH Laboratories offer a comprehensive array of analyses and consulting services for monitoring of trace contaminants that could migrate to food and that are monitored or regulated by various state, federal or international regulatory agencies.
IEH services comply with US FDA legislation for food contact materials and with California Proposition 65 (for glass and ceramic materials).
Our services include:
- Assistance with national, state and international regulatory compliance
- Identification of chemicals responsible for packaging taints and odors
- Trace analysis of regulated contaminants, such as:
  • Bisphenol-A
  • Heavy Metals
  • Nitrosamines
  • Phthalates
  • Mineral Oils
