IEH-JL Analytical Laboratories, a leader in food safety, is now accepting applications for the Sample Prep Position – General Labor position at its facility in Modesto, CA.

A high school education or GED is required.

Ideal candidate will have the following skills and capabilities:

– Capable of following both written and verbal directions
– Be comfortable in a fast-paced, dusty, noisy, and labor-intensive setting.
– Be punctual and exhibit excellent attendance
– Able to lift and empty 50-60lb boxes

The Sample Prep – General Labor duties include (i) general sample preparation of nut samples in a fast-paced lab setting for analysis, including mixing, grinding, disposal, and record-keeping of samples, (ii) general clean-up of area and labware, washing dishes, and disposing trash, (iii) sample registration, (iv) inventory stocking, (v) making methanol solvent, (vi) operating grinding equipment, and (vii) working as part of a team and other duties as assigned.

This is a full-time position in which the employee will be eligible for standard benefits after a brief waiting period. The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 6pm. The laboratory operates weekends, so candidates must be willing to work some weekends.
