Brooks Rand Instruments is seeking a Sales and Order Administration Clerk. This position will report to the Vice President of Operations and will work closely with the production team on a variety of daily shipping and receiving tasks, as well as helping with assembly of instruments and parts.

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

• High school level education or equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year of shipping, receiving warehousing experience (required), preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Good math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
• Experience handling, storing, and shipping materials or supplies; accessing information on a computer; reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness
• Willingness to be trained on IATA dangerous goods regulations and work around hazardous materials (after training)
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and move objects weighing up to 50lbs
• Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout an 8 hour shift
• Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis

Duties and responsibilities of this position include:
• Creating, editing and submitting Sales Orders, in adherence to company guidelines and processes
• Determining the method of shipment and preparing bills, invoices, and other shipping documents
• Receiving merchandise, including checking and signing delivery slips and assisting with unloading as necessary
• Making transactions in an MRP system.
• Inspecting and verifying incoming goods against invoices or other documents, recording shortages, and rejecting damaged goods
• Accepting or returning merchandise according to established company procedures
• Organizing distribution and shipping of merchandise, including making necessary verifications against documents, unpacking, and routing goods to appropriate storage areas
• Performing cycle counts to insure inventory accuracy
• Contacting resource people for various information, including contacting companies and suppliers in order to expedite, trace, or return merchandise that does not conform to specifications or purchase orders
• Assembling containers and crates, packing goods to be shipped, and preparing identifying information and shipping instructions
• Maintaining clean and organized storage area
• Performing assembly of products and/or sub-assemblies as quickly as possible while maintaining exemplary quality standards
• Effectively communicating product issues between assembly personnel, manufacturing management, and other interested parties

The pay range for this position is $18-22/hr (DOE). This is a full-time position that is eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, 401(k), health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 6 paid holidays per year.
