IEH Analytical Laboratories is now accepting applications for a Method Development Chemist at its facility in Seattle, WA.

IEH Analytical Laboratories is part of the IEH Laboratories & Consulting Group, which is a customer-oriented consulting and laboratory firm. We provide analytical testing, consultation, and regulatory support to food companies to help ensure safe food production.

Ideal candidates must possess the following:

– A Ph.D in Chemistry (required)
– Experience with chromatographic analyses of food and environmental products
– Proficiency with data entry and computer applications
– Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory

Method Development Chemist duties include, but are not limited to, performing chromatographic analyses of samples (LCMSMS, GCMS, HPLC, GC) according to established procedures/SOPs and developing/implementing/validating new methods for trace residue analysis in food, feed, and environmental samples as required.

The salary for this position ranges between $65,000 and $80,000 yearly, depending on experience. Full-time employees are eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, 401(k), health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, and 6 paid holidays per year.

Candidates must be willing to work occasional nights, weekends, and/or rotating shifts. Due to exposure to various food allergens in the laboratory environment, applicants with moderate-to-severe food allergies are discouraged from applying.
