IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Laboratory Support/Data Entry Position at its facility in Seattle, WA.

Ideal candidates should possess the following:

– A high school diploma or GED (required); an associate degree in Biology or related field (preferred but not required)
– Proficiency with data entry and computer applications
– Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory
– Proficiency with data entry and computer applications, including the ability to learn new software
– Ability to work with and understand the operations of different types of equipment
– Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Self-motivation skills
– Able to regularly lift 30lbs above waist level
– Able to occasionally lift 50lbs above waist level

Laboratory Support/Data Entry duties include, but are not limited to: Mixing, grinding, disposal and record-keeping of samples; data entry; general clean-up of area and lab-ware (including washing dishes and disposing trash); sample registration; inventory stocking; making methanol solvent; and assisting other areas of the laboratory with sample prep, as needed.

This is a full-time position in which the employee will be eligible for standard benefits after a brief waiting period. The laboratory operates weekends, so candidates must be willing to work some weekends.

Due to exposure to various food allergens in the laboratory environment, applicants with moderate to severe food allergies are discouraged from applying.
