IEH Laboratories, a leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for the Laboratory Coordinator Position at its facility in Laurel, MD.

Applicants must possess a BS or BA in the biological sciences or related field.

Ideal candidates should possess the following skills and capabilities:

– Strong understanding of Laboratory Procedures/Operations
– Good management skills, with a focus on overall operation efficiency, customer service, and profitability
– Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory
– Proficiency with data entry and computer applications
– Ability to lift and empty 45lbs sample boxes/bags
– Self-motivated and strong attention to detail
– Good communication and organization skills

The Laboratory Coordinator duties include inventory control, submitting timely purchase orders for supplies, communicating with customers for site scheduling and other needs, managing computer data entry and results, sample analysis, ensuring maintenance of equipment, and coordinating/delegating work.

Full-time employee will be eligible for standard benefits after a brief waiting period. This schedule for this position is Monday to Friday. Candidates must be willing to work some nights and weekends.
