JLA International, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Laboratory Analyst – Chemistry position at its facility in Douglas, GA.

Ideal candidates will possess the following:
– BS or BA in the Chemistry or related field (required)
– GC/HPLC experience (preferred)
– Strong attention to detail
– Proficiency with data entry and computer applications
– Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
– Strong written and verbal communication skills

Laboratory Analyst duties include: performing analysis on food, feeds, and grains; conducting quality control analysis in accordance with the laboratory quality control program; preparing reagents as needed according to formulations in methods and instructions; capturing and recording accurate and complete analytical information on approved forms, worksheets and other appropriate documents; following record management guidelines and securing records when in possession; carrying out sample management procedures from receiving through final disposal; and assisting with general housekeeping of the laboratory.

This is a full-time position and is eligible for standard benefits after a brief waiting period. The laboratory operates weekends, so candidates must be willing to work some weekends.

Due to exposure to various food allergens in the laboratory environment, applicants with moderate to severe food allergies are discouraged from applying.
