										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Laboratory Manager position at its facility in Richland, WA.</p>
<p>Ideal candidates will possess the following:</p>
<p>•    A BS or BA in the biological sciences or a related field (required)<br />
•    Industrial laboratory experience: 2+ years (preferred)<br />
•    Experience with ISO17025 standards (preferred)<br />
•    Proficiency with data entry and computer applications<br />
•    Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment<br />
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills<br />
•    Strong attention to detail<br />
•    Strong understanding of food microbiology methods and aseptic technique in the laboratory</p>
<p>General responsibilities include assisting the Laboratory Coordinator with the following:</p>
<p>•    Ensuring all testing methodology is followed accurately<br />
•    Effectively managing staff performance, including through one-on-one meetings, evaluations, and training, to maintain 24/7 operations<br />
•    Overseeing QA/QC and maintaining compliance with ISO17025 standards<br />
•    Training staff in testing methods and maintain ongoing staff competence<br />
•    Effectively scheduling staff according to client needs<br />
•    Interacting with clients to maintain effective communication and ongoing understanding of client operational needs<br />
•    Helping with analysis to ensure client expectations and covering shifts in the absence of employees, as needed<br />
•    Maintaining communication with corporate departments to ensure all laboratory processes are up-to-date with latest requirements</p>
<p>The pay range for this position is $70,000 &#8211; $80,000 annually (DOE). This is a full-time, non-exempt position and is eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&#038;D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 6 paid holidays per year, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 401(k) (with up to 3% employer match after eligibility criteria are met).</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Seasonal Laboratory Technician/Courier position at its facility in Richland, WA.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate will possess the following:</p>
<p>•    A high school diploma or GED (required); an associate degree in Biology or related field (preferred)<br />
•    Proficiency with data entry and computer applications<br />
•    Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment<br />
•    Strong attention to detail<br />

•    Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory<br />
•    Ability to regularly lift 30lbs above waist level<br />
•    Ability to occasionally lift 50lbs above waist level<br />
•    A valid US driver&#8217;s license issued at least 5 years prior to the date of hire, with a clean driving record (including, at minimum, no at-fault accidents in the last 5 years) that meets/continues to meet IEH&#8217;s motor vehicle risk standards, as verified through ongoing MVR monitoring</p>
<p>Laboratory Technician/Courier duties include: media/sample preparation, sample sorting and log-in, performing specific sample testing steps (under supervision), transcribing results, data entry, inventory control, washing glassware, general laboratory cleaning, safely transporting samples from customers to the lab on a fixed schedule, and other duties as assigned.</p>
<p>The pay range for this position is $17.13 &#8211; $19.00 hourly. This is a full-time seasonal position ending in October/November and is eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: paid sick leave (1 hour for every 30 hours worked) and 401(k). Seasonal employees may be eligible for medical insurance after 6 months if working more than 30 hours/week on average during an initial 5-month measurement period.</p>
<p>The shift for this position is Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:00am &#8211; 6:30pm.</p>
