										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Laboratory Courier position at its facility in Irwindale, CA.</p>
<p>Ideal candidates will possess the following:<br />
•    A high school diploma or GED (required); an associate degree in Biology or related field (preferred)<br />
•    A detail-oriented approach and strong communication in handling all tasks<br />
•    Ability to exercise sound judgment in day-to-day interactions<br />
•    Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word)<br />
•    Ability to regularly lift up to 30lbs above waist level<br />
•    Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs above waist level<br />
•    A valid US driver&#8217;s license issued at least 5 years prior to the date of hire, with a clean driving record (including, at minimum, no at-fault accidents in the last 5 years) that meets/continues to meet IEH&#8217;s motor vehicle risk standards, as verified through ongoing MVR monitoring</p>
<p>Laboratory Courier duties include: safely transporting samples from customers to the lab on a fixed schedule, cleaning and maintaining coolers for sample transport, media/sample preparation, sample sorting and log-in, performing specific sample testing steps (under supervision), transcribing results, data entry, inventory control, washing glassware, general laboratory cleaning, and other tasks as assigned.</p>
<p>The pay for this position is $21 hourly. This is a full-time position and is eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&#038;D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 6 paid holidays per year, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 401(k) (with up to 3% employer match after eligibility criteria are met).</p>
<p>The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 7:00am to 3:30pm.</p>
<p>Due to exposure to various food allergens in the laboratory environment, applicants with moderate to severe food allergies are discouraged from applying.</p>
