Tree Nuts

Almond, cashew, walnut, Brazil nut, coconut, and hazelnut are classified as “tree nuts”, which contain proteins that can elicit intense allergic responses in people, even in extremely low concentrations.  Consequently, there is a need to test for the presence of tree nut residue in processes where there may be a possibility of cross-contamination.  We offer a test that is able to detect a heat-stable protein component, so false negative results are avoided in samples that have been heat-treated.
