Peanut

Peanut residue contamination is a crucial point of concern for food manufacturers and consumers because of the prevalence of severe peanut allergies, specifically among children.  In the U.S., it is estimated to affect 5% of all children under 5, and 0.6% of the total population, which is nearly 19 million individuals, according to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
