Crisis Management/Emergency Response

Post-incident Support

An incident does not stop after all of the associated food has been recalled. IEH provides what is needed to bring true closure to an incident in two critical areas.
Firstly, IEH will conduct an intensive post-incident analysis of all of the data to pinpoint what went wrong. The information is used to design preventative measures that will help ensure that future occurrences can be avoided. The preventative measures are comprehensive in nature, and would span the range of addressing the specific circumstances that might have occurred in a single store to enterprise-wide changes in food safety management plans, monitoring tools and data management.
Secondly, IEH can provide experienced and effective post-incident litigation support to identify and limit the extent of damage claims. The medical and epidemiological expertise that IEH can provide, combined with molecular fingerprinting of pathogens, can provide a realistic assessment of the probabilities of associating a foodborne illness outbreak with a alleged source, and a rational no-nonsense description of how the incident and health effects experienced by alleged victims compare and contrast with present and historical trends in foodborne illness outbreaks.
